Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment facility that works to treat drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehab partakes in various treatment activities and techniques in the daytime and then leaves in the night time. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug or alcohol addicted persons in New Harbor who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are unable to be apart from their home for prolonged durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in traditional counseling and therapy for addiction problems while at the same time addressing psychological problems which may deter them from remaining sober when treatment is done.
