Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment program which is meant to deal with substance abuse issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehab takes part in various rehabilitation activities and approaches in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the significance of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted persons in New Fairview who who may be unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient care, or for those who are not able to be apart from their home and work for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction problems while at the same time dealing with mental health problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent after rehab is done.
