Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center which works to handle drug addiction problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in treatment partakes in a variety of rehab activities and techniques in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for addicted persons in New Berlin who are unable to afford long-term inpatient care, or who are not able to be away from their families for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction problems while also dealing with mental health issues which may deter them from staying abstinent when rehab is complete.
