Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction disorders and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in treatment takes part in a number of rehab activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the significance of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted men and women in Middlefield who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for those who are not able to be apart from their home and work for extensive periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction problems while also dealing with psychological problems which could keep them from staying sober when rehabilitation is complete.
