Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center which is meant to deal with substance abuse issues and mental health disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in treatment takes part in a number of rehabilitation activities and methods during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the severity of the problem.
