Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug rehabilitation facility which is meant to treat drug addiction issues and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab partakes in a number of rehabilitation services and methods in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted men and women in Maurice who may not be able to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time overcoming mental health problems which may deter them from remaining abstinent when rehab is complete.
