Men and women may become addicted to alcohol or drugs no matter their handicap or unique physical challenge. This at times makes people significantly more vulnerable to getting involved in drug or alcohol addiction, as a result of the various issues that may pop up in the perspon's life. This is the case for people in the deaf and hearing impaired community as well, and rehab for drug and alcohol abuse disorders is often required. Deaf or hearing impaired people often need ASL or other assistance as part of their drug rehab program, and there are alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers available throughout the Mark Center area which specifically help fill these special needs. Expert treatment counselors who know ASL and can provide other essential assistance to deaf or hearing impaired addicted individuals are readily available in a number of drug rehab programs around Mark Center and in the country.
