Rehabilitating individuals who are addicted to drugs and have found their way into the criminal justice system has proven to be a productive method of preventing repeat drug related criminal offenses for individuals that do become rehabilitated. For criminal justice clients in Macedonia that do take part in in drug treatment centers, even if not of their own choice as is occasionally ordered by the court, these persons have a far better chance at dealing with the root of the problem so that they can stay abstinent and off of the streets drug related criminal activity. The costs to society related to these drug related crimes is also impacted beneficially when criminal justice clients become rehabbed in drug rehabilitation facilities in Macedonia in lieu of jail time or other harsh punishment.
