Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program that works to deal with substance abuse issues and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehabilitation partakes in a variety of rehabilitation services and strategies in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out several days a week, depending on the significance of the problem.
