Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment program which is meant to deal with drug addiction problems and mental health problems which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment participates in a variety of treatment services and strategies in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
