Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug treatment program that works to treat substance abuse disorders and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehabilitation participates in a variety of rehabilitation services and strategies during the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the severity of the drug problem.
