Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehabilitation center which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction disorders and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in rehab partakes in various treatment activities and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days per week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Loyalhanna who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are not able to be apart from their families for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in typical treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction issues while also dealing with psychological issues which may deter them from staying sober after rehabilitation is done.
