Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility that is meant to deal with drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in rehab takes part in a variety of rehabilitation activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug or alcohol addicted people in Long Branch who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient care, or who are not able to be away from their home and work for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in typical counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction problems while simultaneously dealing with mental health disorders which could keep them from staying abstinent after treatment is done.
