Treating persons who are addicted and dependent to drugs and/or alcohol and have ended up in the criminal justice system has proven a productive method of preventing repeat drug related offenses by those who do receive treatment. For criminal justice clients in Little Switzerland who do take part in in drug rehabilitation facilities, even if not of their own choice as is often ordered by the court, these individuals have a much better opportunity of handling the crux of the issue so that they can stay off of drugs and away from the streets drug related criminal activity.
