Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center which works to handle substance abuse disorders and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in treatment participates in a variety of treatment services and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for addicted men and women in Linn who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient care, or for those who are unable to be away from their home for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in traditional treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction issues while also dealing with psychological disorders which could keep them from staying abstinent after rehab is complete.
