Criminal justice clients are a large percentage of clients who are currently taking part in drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers in Liberty and across the nation. Judicial systems around the country are finding it more effective to treat individuals who have ended up in the criminal justice system for crimes relating to drugs, rather than penalizing them in vain with time in jail and other such rulings. It has proven more successful to handle the issue of drug addiction more straightforwardly, than to enforce such penalties. Most who do not make their way to drug and alcohol rehab will often wind back up in the criminal justice system, while criminal justice clients in drug treatment generally don't fall back into drug use and have a better chance at staying sober and away from the court system for good.
