Rehabilitating men and women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and have landed somewhere in the criminal justice system has proven a successful method of eliminating future drug related offenses for people that do receive treatment. For criminal justice clients in Lewis Run that do agree to take part in treatment in alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers, even against one's will as is occasionally ordered by the court, these clients have a significantly better chance at dealing with the root of the issue so that they can stay abstinent and off of the streets drug related crimes. The costs to the criminal justice system associated with these drug related criminal offenses is also affected positively when criminal justice clients become helped in drug rehab programs in Lewis Run instead of jail time or other penalties.
