Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction disorders and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab takes part in a number of rehabilitation activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Lebanon, Ohio who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are unable to be apart from their home and work for prolonged durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in standard counseling and therapy for addiction problems while also addressing mental health issues which may deter them from staying abstinent when rehabilitation is complete.
