Criminal justice clients are a large portion of clientele who take part in drug treatment centers in Lebanon and across the nation. Court systems in the country often find it more effective to treat people who have wound up in the court system for drug related crimes, rather than penalizing them to no avail with time in jail and other such rulings. It is proven to be more successful to deal with the problem of addiction directly, rather than enforce such penalties. Most individuals who do not wind up in drug treatment will often wind back up in the criminal justice system, while criminal justice clients in alcohol and drug treatment frequently don't make the same mistakes and have a much better chance at staying abstinent and out of the court system entirely.
