Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of drug and alcohol rehab center which works to deal with substance abuse problems and mental health issues which might be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in treatment participates in a variety of treatment activities and techniques during the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
