Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center which is meant to treat drug and alcohol addiction problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in treatment participates in a variety of rehab activities and techniques during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out several days a week, depending on the severity of the problem.
