Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehab program that works to handle substance abuse disorders and psychological disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in treatment takes part in a variety of treatment activities and approaches during the day and then leaves in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted persons in Lakeside who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient care, or who are not able to be apart from their home and work for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in traditional counseling and therapy for addiction issues while also dealing with mental health issues which may deter them from remaining abstinent when treatment is done.
