Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug rehab facility which works to handle substance abuse problems and psychological problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab participates in a number of treatment services and strategies in the daytime and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Lake Charles who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or for those who are not able to be away from their families for extended durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional counseling and therapy for addiction issues while also dealing with mental health issues which could keep them from remaining sober once rehabilitation is complete.
