Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment facility which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in rehab takes part in a number of rehabilitation activities and techniques in the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug or alcohol addicted persons in Laguna Niguel who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are not able to be apart from their households for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in standard counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction issues while also overcoming psychological disorders which could keep them from remaining sober when rehabilitation is complete.
