Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center that is meant to treat substance abuse problems and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in rehab takes part in various rehab activities and techniques in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted people in Krum who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or who are unable to be away from their home for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional treatment services for addiction issues while simultaneously addressing mental health disorders which may deter them from remaining sober once treatment is complete.
