Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which works to deal with drug addiction problems and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehabilitation participates in various treatment activities and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted individuals in Kosse who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are unable to be apart from their families for extensive periods of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in typical counseling and therapy for addiction issues while also dealing with mental health issues which may deter them from remaining abstinent after rehabilitation is complete.
