Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug treatment program that works to deal with substance abuse disorders and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in treatment takes part in a number of treatment activities and methods during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out several days per week, all dependent on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem.
