Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug treatment program that works to treat drug and alcohol addiction issues and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehab participates in a number of treatment activities and techniques during the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days per week, depending on the significance of the problem.
