Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that is meant to handle substance abuse disorders and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehab participates in a number of rehab activities and methods in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for addicted men and women in Islip who who may be unable to pay for long-term inpatient treatment, or who are unable to be away from their home for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in standard treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction problems while simultaneously overcoming psychological issues which may deter them from staying sober when rehab is done.
