Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center which works to treat substance abuse disorders and psychological problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in rehab takes part in a number of rehab services and techniques in the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for addicted people in Irwin who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are unable to be apart from their home for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in standard treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time addressing mental health issues which could keep them from staying sober after rehabilitation is done.
