Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehab program which is meant to treat drug addiction disorders and mental health issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehab takes part in a variety of treatment activities and methods in the day and then leaves in the night time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for addicted persons in Howell who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or for those who are unable to be away from their home and work for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in traditional treatment services for addiction problems while simultaneously addressing psychological disorders which could keep them from staying abstinent when treatment is done.
