Criminal justice clients are a large percentage of clients who take part in drug treatment programs in Hollywood and in the USA. Judicial systems in the country are finding it more advantageous to rehab men and women who have found their way into the criminal justice system for drug related crimes, instead of penalizing them in vain with jail time and other such rulings. It has proven more successful to deal with the problem of drug or alcohol addiction directly, than to enforce these sorts of penalties. The majority of who do not end up in alcohol and drug rehabilitation will frequently turn right back up in the criminal justice hamster wheel, while criminal justice clients in alcohol and drug treatment often don't fall back into drug use and have a far better chance at remaining sober and away from the court system completely.
