Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which works to handle substance abuse problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehabilitation participates in a number of rehabilitation activities and techniques in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
