Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug treatment center that works to deal with substance abuse problems and psychological disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab takes part in a variety of treatment activities and methods during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the drug problem.
