Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehab center that is meant to treat substance abuse disorders and mental health disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in rehab participates in a number of treatment activities and techniques in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem.
