Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehab center that works to treat substance abuse problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in treatment partakes in a variety of rehab services and techniques during the day and then leaves in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
