Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program which is meant to handle substance abuse issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehab partakes in a variety of treatment activities and techniques in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
