Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment facility which works to deal with substance abuse problems and mental health problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehabilitation takes part in a variety of rehabilitation services and methods during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the problem.
