Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to treat substance abuse disorders and mental health problems which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehab partakes in various rehab services and methods in the daytime and then leaves in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted people in Great Meadows who who may be unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or who are not able to be away from their families for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people take part in typical counseling and therapy for addiction issues while at the same time addressing mental health issues which could keep them from staying abstinent when rehabilitation is complete.
