Women who are expecting and women who have just given birth in Freedom that are also drug and/or alcohol addicted are not only putting their own life in jeopardy, but also put their fetus or newborn at risk of a large number of serious consequences. The results of such behavior are always grim if pregnant and postpartum women who choose to stay involved in alcohol and drug abuse do not attempt to locate and obtain effective drug rehabilitation. There are drug and alcohol treatment centers in the Freedom area which actually work exclusively with pregnant and postpartum women. These sorts of alcohol and drug rehab centers provide all recommended medical care and other necessities for pregnant and women who have just given birth and their children so that addicts who are also mothers can receive the treatment they must have for their sake and their child's.
