Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehabilitation program that works to handle substance abuse problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in treatment partakes in various rehabilitation activities and methods in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted men and women in Franktown who are unable to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be apart from their families for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in standard treatment services for addiction issues while at the same time overcoming psychological issues which may deter them from remaining abstinent after rehabilitation is done.
