Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which works to treat drug and alcohol addiction disorders and psychological problems which might be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment participates in a variety of rehab services and strategies in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted persons in Fort Dix who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their families for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in traditional counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction problems while simultaneously overcoming mental health problems which may deter them from remaining sober once rehabilitation is done.
