Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program which is meant to treat substance abuse disorders and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in treatment takes part in a variety of rehab activities and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for addicted individuals in Fair Lawn who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home and work for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in traditional counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while simultaneously overcoming psychological issues which may deter them from remaining abstinent once rehabilitation is done.
