Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment facility that is meant to deal with substance abuse problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in treatment partakes in various rehab services and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted persons in Epps who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or who are not able to be apart from their home for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time overcoming psychological problems which could keep them from staying sober once treatment is done.
