Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment center that works to handle drug addiction disorders and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehab participates in a number of rehabilitation services and methods in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted individuals in Emerald Isle who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or who are unable to be away from their households for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in typical treatment services for addiction issues while at the same time overcoming mental health issues which may deter them from staying sober when rehabilitation is complete.
