Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment facility that is meant to deal with drug addiction disorders and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehab takes part in a number of rehab activities and techniques in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted individuals in Elon who may not be able to pay for long-term inpatient treatment, or who are unable to be away from their home for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction issues while also overcoming psychological problems which may deter them from staying sober after treatment is complete.
