Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center which works to handle substance abuse issues and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehab takes part in various rehabilitation services and methods in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the severity of the drug problem.
