Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program that is meant to handle substance abuse disorders and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in rehab partakes in various rehab services and techniques in the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted men and women in Elmsford who may not be able to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home for prolonged periods of time.
