Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment program that works to treat substance abuse disorders and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehabilitation participates in various treatment services and techniques during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the seriousness of the drug problem.
