Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug rehab center which works to treat substance abuse disorders and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment takes part in a number of rehabilitation services and approaches in the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted persons in Dolores who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or for those who are not able to be apart from their home for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in standard counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction problems while also addressing mental health disorders which could keep them from staying sober when rehabilitation is done.
